If you can’t stand backing out of Astra Malorum with intel still missing, you’re in the right headspace. I treat it like a checklist, not “optional lore,” and it’s way easier once you’ve got a clean route in your head. If you’re also polishing your overall BO7 grind between runs, I’ve seen folks pair these hunts with a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby session so the map time stays focused and you’re not resetting over silly misses.

Step 1: The Luminarium puzzle stuff.

First up, head into The Luminarium and look up at the hanging solar system model. This is the one people mess up because they rush it. Shoot the planets in proper order from the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Hit Neptune and you’ll see the little Pluto piece pop and drop the intel document tied to that “look out below / immense power” clue. While you’re still in the room, don’t leave yet. Check the shelf beside the trap and snag the “please take your seat / fools” audio log before a train of zombies forces you out.

Step 2: Pack room and the Machina Astralis loop.

Next, rotate to the Observatory Dome, the Pack-a-Punch area most squads beeline to anyway. There’s a crate in there with the “organ donor / planets” audio log just sitting on it, no gimmick. From there, push toward the Machina Astralis side of the map. In the Archive of Orbis, go upstairs and grab the “extraorbital / robotics” recording on the upper level. Then cut over to The Veilwalk and check the gazebo near Mule Kick for “unsafe arbor / dual function.” It’s one of those spots you’ll walk past a bunch because your eyes are on perks, not props.

Step 3: Two easy-to-miss documents.

Back in Archive of Orbis, find the Stamina-Up room and look for the desk with the messy stack of papers. You can’t just pick the intel up like normal. Shoot the papers off the desktop to reveal the “archive stacks / eventful” document underneath. After that, take a careful trip to Abysmal Rim. The “poser planet / their town” document sits right on the cliff edge near Who’s Who. Don’t do the classic thing where you jump for it, grab it, and immediately slide off the map.

Step 4: Artifacts that come from playing the quest.

The artifact side is mostly a freebie if you’re doing the Main Quest in the same run. The LGM-1 is basically the map’s Wonder Weapon, so once you’ve built it, that box is ticked. The Perfusion Machine and Ascendant Eye show up as quest drops tied to Luminarium and the Mars steps, so just stay on task and loot what the game hands you. The only one I tell people to actively remember is the Damaged Drone: when Oscar sends attack drones, blow one up on purpose and pick up the item it drops, and if you’re mixing progression goals with cleanup runs, slotting in CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies between attempts can help keep the repetition from getting old.
