 There's never been an ideal time to set the roads on fire in Grand Theft Auto Online. With the recently released Agents of Sabotage DLC, Rockstar has progressively increased the prizes for drift and drag races, and added half-a dozen new vehicles to test for speed.
 
 
 The variables are many and varied, but two are notable: lap time and the top speed. Listed below will be the top ten cars that are not powered by rockets and motorbikes (no jets or boats!) on a straightaway and around many laps of a normal circuit on  gta money based on the Cutting Coroners track. It's precisely what it says. The lap times are more than just a handful of numbers. They also include the acceleration, turning, and braking.
 
 
 This story has been revised to January 2025. It also includes the brand-new Agents of Sabotage DLC from the 10th of December. The latest DLC added half-a-dozen brand new vehicles, including the Bravado Banshee GTS, Dinka Jester RR Widebody Karinchavos V6, Canis Terminus Patrol and Vapid Caracara Pursuit (both police officers) and the Police Predator boat.
 
 
 The Expanded and enhanced versions of the game on PS5 & Xbox Series X have access to Hao's Special Works, which is a mod shop that is exclusive to the Los Santos Car Meet (now available in the Vinewood Club Garage as of the Agents DLC). We're not covering the HSW cars here as they're only available for consoles and are not available on PC.
 
 
 The Bravado Banshee GTS is one of the DLC cars that was added to GTA Online. It's the most powerful car, yet it's still beaten by two motorcycles. GTA+ members were able to purchase it at no cost up to January 8, however, it is now available for $1,989 500 through Legendary Motorsport. It's also eligible for upgrades to HSW therefore the figures on this list don't include the upgrades. The more modern cars on this list aren't any faster than the top contenders.

Take a look at his lap times and top speed documents to get a full overview of his methods, and you can find detailed information about each car as well as its tests on his website.
 
 
 This list only includes  normal cars and motorcycles, those that can be used for regular racing and don't receive any other external boosts besides the occasional dose of nitrous. The speedy-but-unraceable submersible Pegassi Toreador, which would have been in the top 10, isn't included, for example.

 These lists will assist you to decide which car you need for a race with a lot of corners and one that is long. Having the best in one scenario doesn't mean that you'll be the best in the next. For example, the 811 isn't included in the list of the most efficient lap times in the top 20, even though it's a fast car.
 
 
 In addition, the quickest top speed any Open Wheel car can muster is around 15 mph slower than that of the Weevil Custom from the Muscle class, despite their dominance in the course due to their cornering capabilities.
 
 
 What should you purchase? There are a variety of situations that you can face and you'll need to have a distinct vehicle for every one.
 
 
 Muscle class races
 
 The Vapid Dominator GT has edged out the perennial favorite Bravado Buffalo STX from a race time standpoint from the muscle class. HSW cars have a lot to offer all the other cars in this class, however they're unavailable on PC.
 
 
 Street races of the Tuner
 
 Street races can only be held in the "Tuner", class. This includes a few vehicles that belong to the Los Santos Tuners, DLC and others that are in different categories (Sports Muscle, Sports, etc.) but are also capable of racing with. There are three main contenders in this class if you wish to be competitive.

 Vectre
 
 Calico GTF
 
 The Growler RR and Jester RR are in 4th and fifth places respectively for Tuner races, however they're not far off the top three which are separated by about two tenths a second.
 
 
 With the Vectre having the best performance in cornering and the Calico has the highest acceleration, and the Sultan being the most versatile it's all up to your personal preferences which one you choose. You should also keep in mind that specific tracks are more suitable for the particular car. However, choosing one of them will make sure you're at the top of your game.
