Red River Valley RSVP has partnered with the United Way of Lamar County for their 2025 fall fundraising campaign, aiming to raise $600,000 to support essential community services. The campaign runs through the end of November and focuses on strengthening local programs that address critical needs in education, health, income, and basic support services.

RSVP, a longstanding partner of the United Way, has been awarded an $11,000 grant for 2026 to continue its mission of connecting volunteers aged 55 and older with meaningful service opportunities. These funds will help RSVP mobilize volunteers to assist residents across Lamar County, ensuring that the needs of the community are met through collective action.

Courtney Weaver, Volunteer Coordinator for RSVP, emphasized the importance of community collaboration, stating, “We are stronger together, and when we support the United Way of Lamar County, we are supporting dozens of organizations that touch lives across Lamar County.”

Community members are encouraged to participate by making financial contributions or volunteering their time. Donations can be made online at lamarcountyuw.org or by mailing pledges to PO Box 1, Paris, TX 75461. For more information or to get involved, contact Courtney Weaver at 903-737-4320 or via email at khamill@parisjc.edu.

This campaign underscores the collective effort required to support and enhance the well-being of the Lamar County community.
