There’s nothing quite like the thrill of early league farming in Path of Exile 2, especially when luck smiles on you at just the right moment. Just a few hours into the new league, I was running my usual early mapping route when — boom! — a Divine Orb dropped. I couldn’t believe it. It felt like hitting the jackpot, especially considering how valuable Divine Orbs are in the PoE 2 currency economy right now.

For those just starting or still figuring out the new systems, Divine Orbs are one of the most sought-after PoE 2 currency items. They’re used to reroll the values of modifiers on rare items, making them essential for high-end crafting and min-maxing gear. Getting one this early meant I could either sell it for a great stack of other useful currency or hold onto it for future crafting. I chose the first option — and here's why.

Right after the drop, I visited the trade site and saw that Divine Orbs were trading for an insane premium during the first few days of the league. This is a great tip for new players: early drops of rare currency can often be more valuable when sold quickly, as demand peaks when everyone’s trying to gear up fast. I sold mine for a mix of Chaos Orbs, Exalted Orbs, and some valuable gear, which gave me the boost I needed to snowball my progression.

Here’s the exact strategy I used to farm that Divine Orb:

  1. Act 10 Rush + Fast Maps: I rushed to endgame maps by speeding through the acts using movement skills and leveling gear. Once I unlocked the Atlas, I focused on fast-clearing Tier 1–3 maps like Strand and Tropical Island.

  2. Stacked Decks + Strongboxes: I targeted Strongbox nodes on the Atlas passive tree. These boxes, especially currency and divination card strongboxes, are a consistent way to generate PoE 2 currency. I also found a couple Stacked Decks, which I sold for extra Chaos.

  3. Use Scarabs Smartly: Even early on, low-tier Scarabs like Ambush or Divination can boost returns significantly. I bought a few cheap ones with the Chaos I had and ran them on yellow-tier maps.

  4. Alch and Go: I didn’t overthink map rolling — I just used an Orb of Alchemy on each map and ran it. The key is to stay moving and kill quickly.

If you're new to the game or want to skip the early grind, another good option is to buy PoE 2 currency from trusted platforms. I’ve tried u4gm in the past — they offer fast delivery and fair prices, especially during league start when time is precious and every Chaos Orb counts.

Another important tip: keep an eye on other hot currency like Orb of Annulment, Exalted Orbs, and even Vaal Orbs. These can either be used in mid-tier crafting or traded for the currency you actually need.

Looking back, that Divine Orb changed the course of my entire league. It helped me buy a six-link chest, fund early gem purchases, and even invest in a proper movement skill setup. If you're grinding maps and feel like nothing is dropping — hang in there. Keep your loot filters updated, farm efficiently, and remember that every mob you kill brings you closer to your next big drop.
